Im with you, J.Crew has the BEST clothes (I just "found" out about them maybe a year ago) but way above my shopping budget, but their clothes must be good quality...

Those red peep toes are so cute! I agree their stuff tends to be overpriced, but a lot of them do go on sale, and their sales are usually pretty good. Everything I've gotten from J.Crew has held up really well so I don't really mind paying a little more for the quality.

I love everything -- especially the red shoes and the yellow jacket. I just got the latest J. Crew catalog yesterday, the one all about Capri... love all the yellow they're featuring this spring!

I have the shorts in navy and absolutely love them, they're quite flattering.
Jcrew does have a reward program associated with their credit card now, it's like $25 for every $500 dollars spent. They also give a student discount to "select" schools, I don't know exactly what schools, but it's 10% off.
I shop at jcrew pretty regularly, I think that the only things that might not go on sale or will be sold out, are the shoes and the yellow sweater. Everything else will go on sale at some point.

i didn't think they were choosy... even though i graduated 2 years ago, i just flash my (old) school ID and i get the 10% off

I don't think they're choosy about which schools to give discount too, but I only found out they give student discounts this year in my last year of grad school! So disappointing -- all those years of shopping there in high school and college and I had no idea. I think the discount is 15%, but correct me if I'm wrong...
