seriously, what's with me and the crazies?

I'll just start with the disclaimer that this post has nothing to do with McStubborn.

Maybe I'm just being a weirdo, but E (the other guy that I had been seeing briefly during the McStubborn break) is kind of creeping me out. And it's all via myspace. I know, I've got issues, but this is seriously strange (but as always, highly amusing).

First of all, he has had his status set to 'In a Relationship' since he started seeing me. We're long over and were never in an exclusive relationship to begin with, but whatever. We aren't even dating at all now and he's still got his status set to 'in a relationship.' Okay, so that's a little weird, but I can deal. If he wants to be delusional, that's his problem. Side note-- he logs on everyday so it's not like he hasn't had opportunity to change it.

Here's the kinda creepy part-- I was stalking his profile today to see if he had changed his relationship status (he hasn't) and I noticed that he has a new blurb under his 'heroes' section that is about me and something silly that I did that he found hysterical. There is no way that this is about someone else. Um....he has me listed as his hero. Peachy.

We've only talked a few times since I ended things a month ago and yet he has this up on his page. Weird, weird, weird. I know I'm being ridiculous, but let's just put this in perspective for a second-- he had been looking for me for nearly a decade, he ended every relationship he's been since 1999 (including calling off an engagement 3 months before the wedding) b/c he compared every girl to me and how he felt about me and no one came close (even though we weren't in contact at the time and we never even had dated in the first place, we were just friends), he's said that he wants to follow me wherever I go and essentially, would be ready to marry me tomorrow if I just said the word (this information came directly from him).

And my mother wondered why I chose McStubborn...

But I digress...

Still, I'm a little freaked out that he's going to do something completely off-kilter, like move to the town that I live in (he had previously made that threat). Clearly, even though he isn't speaking to me at the moment, he hasn't let go either. GAAAAH! Where do I find these people? Seriously. What the hell?

Just wanted to share my latest encounter with a bad hamburger with you all.

oh myspace!  well, you have every right to be creeped out-but honestly, it just sounds like he really likes you.  It happens Just continue being honest w/him and if he still loves you forever and destroys every future relationship out of a delusional hope that you'll end up together, well... i guess that's his choice.

This would make me feel really weird.  As we all know, on the one side, there are dudes who act "hard to get," and that is super annoying, and on the other end there are guys who play the "I'm desperate" game.  I don't mean to say that E is desperate, but it's comments like his which certainly make the scale tip in that direction.  That and making you his "hero" on his myspace page.  It's just a little... much.

I'm hoping, mostly for his sake, that he sees the light and gets over this.  But if he doesn't, it's not your fault.  You've been as honest as humanly possible, you gave the relationship a chance, and he's just... well, still smitten, apparently.

my advice... stop stalking the stalker. why are you scanning every detail of his page if you are not interested?

b/c what he's doing is bothering me, that's all. It doesn't mean I'm interested (far from it). I'm just freaked out based upon his behavior and I'm not sure I trust what he'll do next.

I think you should delete him from your friends list on myspace, and then set your profile to private, so he can't read your profile - then he's got one less way of stalking you/knowing what you're up to.  Good luck!

Wow. Clingy. I'm honestly not sure what to think about that. It doesn't seem to be agressive. But it is, well, delusional.
