I was cc'd on an email this morning that read:

"Please make the change. The word was misspelt"

hilarious - of all words to misspell.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that accepted spelling in britain?  if the person isn't british, though, i don't know why he'd use it.

Of course it was a man! I work in an office full of them and incidents such as these are a regular occurrence.

you know, I'm glad you pointed this out - he's Indian, and they learn British English - that's probably it!
