Horse Race Outfit?

I'm going to the Carolina Cup at the end of March in South Carolina and am having trouble deciding what to wear. I'm a senior in high school and am going with a friend & her sorority sisters (I might be going to school w/ them next year, so I want to make a good impression). The girl I'm going with said that girls usually wear Lilly Pulitzer dresses with big floppy hats. I already own a Lilly dress (though it's one size too big; I'd prefer to buy another one that's under $200) but I have no idea what to do about shoes or a floppy hat (where would I even find one??). Has anyone attended a horse race before? Any advice at all would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

I went to the Carolina Cup when I was in college and it rained, and rained! Most girls were in Lilly dresses, with our big rain coats on top. If you check out the Lilly website and Ck Bradley you might get some ideas. I think any kind of a sundress would be very cute, but check the weather before and have a great time!

I went to horse races when I was in college in Virginia and the girls would always wear cute sundresses.  A lilly dress would be perfect.
