Alliegurl & Sephorablue - sizing question
Permalink Closed

I know you both purchased Loeffler Randall flats, and I did a search and saw that sephorablue said they ran slightly tight.

Questions:
~ do you think it's wise to go a half size up?
~ are these european or us sizing?

size 10 is already sold out - I wear a 9 in us, a 40 in most european, so I have a 9 AND a 9.5 in my cart - should I just order both? I'm afraid if I wait they won't be available...

i'm thinking 10 is the 40- a lot of european sizes are converted like that- which is wrong and thus why a 10 would "run small" (or maybe america has vanity sized our shoes?).  I always wear a 40- can't wear a 39 or 39.5- yet i rarely wear an american size 10.  i HATE when stores don't list both european and american sizes!

I know - I hate that too. same sizing situation with me - 9 us, euro 40 but it's a crapshoot if the e-tailer interprets a 40 or 39 as a 9.

ugh - I ordered both a 9 and 9.5. my money's on the 9.5... I can either return or re-sell the pair that doesn't fit...

I'm on-line chatting with neiman's right now (although I ordered them through berdorf) I went over there to see if they had 10...

chat answer "Size 9 would be a size 39 in European size." whatevs.

I'm hoping the 9.5 fits!

ok, if all else fails, I can go for the 10 if need be later

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience, however, size 10 is not available at the moment, we will have another shipment in on 3/15/07."

...I'm not banking on it though

I also have purchased Loeffler Randall flats and have found them to run a bit big. I had to add inserts to mine.

are they euro or us size, kitty?

is sounds like the sizing may vary by style. guess I'll be the guinea pig on the patent/skull style...

Euro sizing. It was the Sadie Linen Flat from spring/summer 06. I'm normally a size 9 and I got the 40 and they were smidge too big.

That happens to me with 40 sometimes too (casadei, for example, their 40 is too big)

glad I ordered the 9.5 then...

I'm late to answer, but not sure if I could've helped anyway... I'm still not sure what the story is on my lark flats. I think it depends whether I'm wearing stockings or going barefoot. They feel a little tight width-wise if I'm barefoot, but if I have stockings on I always feel like they're about to fall off my feet--which is partially because the vamp is SO low cut. I can't remember for sure but I think I probably got the 40 (and am normally a 9).

Hey D!

Actually I find that they run TTS. Mine even stretched out a bit after I wore them for a week. I wear an 8 and ordered the 38 and they were perfect.  Now they are even a tiny bit big.

HTH!!!

lol - NO that doesn't help! sounds like it'll be one big crapshoot. But I appreciate your replies, Kitty, sephorablue, and Alliegurl!
