just wondering what the avg annual % increase is in your industry... just had my review today and not feeling so great about my increase.

i went from finance to the fashion industry four years ago and haven't really ever been crazy about my bonus/increase - just wondering if anyone else out there feels my pain.

about 2%-3% in mine. That's if we get one at all; some years the district doesn't have enough money. I'm in education.

8-15% in public accounting. Once you jump to industry jobs it drops off to basically cost of living from what i hear.  A few friends made the jump this year so I'll find out next year what it is.

The national average across the board for publicly traded companies in the private sector is usually between 2.5% and 3.5%.

I believe it is 2.5-5% at my place of employment, a large hospital in Chicago, but I don't know if anyone ever gets more than 3.5 or 4%.

We have also done cost-of-living raises which have varied.  I think we have had two of these in the last year-and-a-half.

We also receive a year-end bonus every year which varies and is anywhere from maybe $200-$600.

Mine was 10% last year, and 30% this year, plus bonuses, but that's keeping in mind that I started off VERY low.  So I'm sure that as I get closer to making what I SHOULD be making, those increases will level off.

Im sorry to hear that, education of all places

I work for an outsourcing/business solutions company, we're about 3%, plus 15%-20% bonus, but uncle Sam takes 40% of that

I work for a University and standard is 3% - I got 6% last year, so I guess that was good.

i work as a "merchandise manager" (my new fancy title) essentially i'm a merchandiser for a private company's junior and contemporary brand. i moved from working at an urban brand owned by a huge company a few months ago to my first 'celebrity brand'... it's been interesting so far :)
