Crap - what am I supposed to do?
Permalink Closed

I bought some boots on eBay on January 10th. I still have not received them. I have contacted the seller twice about this. The first time she said to give it a few more days because "Martin Luther King day might have slowed things down," and then today she told me that she would look into what happened. I'm fairly confused by both of these responses. i've tried to ask her how she mailed it and she only said, "A regular service"

Is it time to report this? Or should I give her a few days to come back to me after she's looked into what's going on? I'm worried that i'm supposed to be reporting it within a certain amount of days and I dont' want to miss the cut-off.

Thanks!

a "regular service?" wtf is that?

mlk was like two weeks ago, wasn't it?

i don't know ebay's policy, but i imagine maybe you have to actually *wait* until a certain amount of time has passed until reporting?

I know. I tried to probe the whole "a regular service" thing - but all she said is that it was supposed to get to me within 3 days.

I guess I'm supposed to open a dispute through eBay, but paypal also has a resolution center. I'm not really sure which one to use.

I have had good luck with paypal's dispute service so I would go through there.

don't wait too long.  you only have a month-ish long window to file a dispute.  once you file a claim, the seller is given 10 days to respond... paypal doesn't actually intercede at this point.  you might file a claim now to light a fire under her ass.

if you guys don't come to a resolution after the end of 10 days, you can elevate your claim to a dispute (or something like that...).  a paypal rep will step in then.  you probably won't have to get to this point, since the seller will usually bend lest she face the wrath of a negative feedback.
