How to clean suede boots/Timberlands

My bf got some scuffs on his brand new tan colored Timberland boots within hours of purchasing them. How do you clean these things? I am looking it up online, I get a million different answers, some day to use a wet towel, others say dry brush, some say foam cleanser, others Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I'm confused!

i would give the magic eraser a try and i've tried using dry brushes and it doesnt work on all scuffs.  just dont use a foam cleaner or anything wet b/c that ruins the suede.  hth!
