drugstore mask recs?
Permalink Closed

So I was looking at my skin in the harsh lights of mall dressing rooms this weekend...yikes! I knew I had some problems, but now I feel so gross. I guess my bathroom light is a bit more forgiving than flourescent :)

Anyway, can anyone reccomend a good mask? I'd prefer one I can get at the drugstore, for cost reasons but mostly because I plan on going out in a couple hours, when only drugstores and grocery stores will still be open on a Sunday. I have normal skin - if I had to choose a direction, I'd definitely say it's more oily than dry, but I'm not looking for one to dry my skin out, either.

TIA!

This one's easy. The best mask I've ever tried is a drugstore brand. Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. It's the best and it works wonders. It's also good to use as a spot treatment overnight. Seriously good stuff.

I read about this over and over again in the mags and I totally agree - one of the best drugstore buys out there.

Bluebird is totally right about Queen Helene.  My skin is too dry to use it as a mask, but it's the best spot treatment ever - it totally dries spots out overnight - and it smells like spearmint gum.

Queen Helene Mint Julep is really the best thing ever to come out of the drugstore...I swear it sucks everything out of pores without being drying.

I'm so glad I asked you guys this instead of just relying on my own guessing game at the store. I finally found it today - I kept looking for it because I thought it must be good if three people in a row suggested only it. I don't think I would've picked it up without the recs, because I remember getting a Queen Helene mask once before that I didn't really like (different kind).

I just used it for the first time tonight, and wow!- I can already see a big difference in my problem areas (serious blackheads on my nose and chin)

Thank you!!!
