Anyone else feeling kinda bored/restless?

I'm in one of those moods this week.  I don't want to do any of the things that can/need to be done, and all the things that I want to do can't be done.  Maybe it's the weather?

It's sunnysunnysunny here today and verging on warm-ish, but it's still too early in the season to do any fun yard things.  My only option right now is turning the compost pile, and that is far from fun.

We have 2 nightstands that need to be stained/built/varnished so we can replace the ugly ones we currently use, but it's still been too cold at night to let them dry in the (unheated) garage.  So we continue to use the too-low medium oak living room side tables.

I have no car so I can't go shopping with the gift cards that are burning a hole in my pocket.

I am so tired of painting the trim in our bathroom over and over that I could scream.

Bleh.  Is it spring yet?

I am definitely restless.  This week has been the toughest week for me at work.  Luckily, I'm not too busy.  I can't seem to concentrate and would prefer to do anything but sit at my desk!

Me three!  It's as cold as a witch's you-know-what here, so any outside activities are totally out of the question.  There's no place to go shopping in my town, so I've been buying stuff online like it's going out of style!  Plus work is really slow.

Its so pretty out, it makes me crave a destination vacation to cabo... and that of course makes it hard to focus on work!

BTW.. This nice weather also makes me realize how white I have gotten this winter and I need a tan badly.

I have so much homework to deal with and it is freezing cold out. I have also been trying to make a major life decision about whether I should change my college major yet again.

A friend just told me it's the post-holiday, back in a supposed routine thing. That explains a lot. Work has picked up again and I'm not in the habit yet, much.

I've been cooking more this week (soups, beans, etc.) and all our laundry is done. On a thread about housekeeping someone mentioned cleaning the front door. That may be next...

Elle, are you in L.A.? That's been my weather too. The frost has ruined our garden and I can't bring myself to face it since there's supposed to be two more months of cold. I feel like I should be gardening but I don't know if I can. Speaking of composting, I think I'll mosey over to the H&G topic to post a question. Join me?

Nope, pacific northwest.  We've been in a deep freeze (highly unusual for us!) for a couple weeks now, so the ground is still frozen, even though it's been low 50's and sunny here during the day.  We just bought our house in October and didn't get to do much yard fixing, so all I get to look at are things that are dead, gravel, a single spindly rose bush, and our 30 year old fence.  Hello, no winter interest !?!  I really want to get some things cleaned up out there, and get some foundation plants in at least.  Hurry up spring!  Hurry UP!

Me too!  All I can think about is baby stuff and browse the internet for stuff when I have a million other things that need done.  Although now that I figured out the nursery bedding and furniture maybe I won't be as distracted.  Oh, and I am soooo tired of gray, cold days!  That does nothing to motivate me to get anything done!  I think we all have a case of spring fever

i honestly wish i was bored right now- fashion week starts next Friday, we ship on Tuesday, I have to get rid of my junked car today and take a bunch of things to the post office- and most likely i'll be working 6-7 days a week and late for the next week!  Many a sleepless night over all this stress!  Can't wait for it to simmer down!

I definitely am, but it's not because I'm not busy. Work keeps me insane; I work from home on weekends (without pay, by the way, since I'm hourly and they won't let me work beyond certain hours, but whatever). I'm also in the process of job hunting and grad school applications. None of the above interest me in the slightest. Although, I did manage to get the beginnings of a digital portfolio together today and brush up my resume. Maybe I'll be ambitious tomorrow and finish my essay, write a few cover letters and apply for some jobs I saw that sparked my interest.

I'm just feeling ultra-lazy recently and I don't want to leave my house. I had invites to three parties today, none of which I attended. I was planning on going out with a friend, but she's sick and bailed on me, so I just holed myself up in my apartment and watched movies.

Ugh. I have no idea what my problem is, but it needs to go away soon.

I was home for the holidays, so I was gone for about a month. Before that, I was sick for a while and barely saw any of my friends. So when I got back in town a couple weeks ago for the spring semester, I was sure that I could just call up my friends and learn all about the crazy partying that was happening the whole time I was out of the loop, and that I'd jump right back in.

It's taken me a few weeks to realize that there really hasn't been a lot of things going on without me. In fact, about the time I started to get sick, everyone really started to fall apart. My friends barely see each other any more, and everyone's restless with each other. It's really sad, and it makes me feel really lonely. This weekend I was excited about seeing everyone a whole lot because it's the first weekend my boyfriend and I haven't seen each other in a long time, and I have a lot of time to spend on my friends. But somehow everyone has been unraveling the past couple months, and I didn't do anything with friends all weekend except going to the laundromat yesterday and shopping for a couple hours today. It's just weird, and it seems sudden to me because I was out of the loop sick for so long. I expected to come back to the tight-knit group we always were, and it's just not like that. It makes me ache for graduation and the time to move back home, even though I should be enjoying my last few months with these people.

yes me me me!!

looking around i have enough to do, but all i really want to do is go actual shopping (not online) but i have an ear infection, plus it's 8 degrees out, plus i have money/gift cards burning a hole in my pocket.  but.....

i'm trying to not spend money because i have about five vacations planned but they seem so far away so i'm not motivated to save for them.  plus they're not even really planned so i could be doing that, but since it's my bf's busy season, if he's on the computer it's to do work....so it doesn't get done.

i have all the accessories to redo the bathroom but i can't seem to do it because i never have enough days off in a row.

nothing sounds good to eat, i have started to hate cooking and going out doesn't seem good either.

i've gotten to the point where i just want to stay in but i can't figure out how to get our sound system hooked up to the dvd player so watching movies doesn't happen so i end up watching shows on my computer or reading a book while my bf does work....i hate his busy season.

i am ready for winter to be over.
