Anyone seen these Anthro skirts IRL?
Permalink Closed

I'm going to the Caribbean in May and I want to get one or two patterned skirts.  Has anyone seen these or tried them on IRL? I'm drawn to all of them but want to narrow my choices down.  How does the material feel?  Are they see through?  Are the colors ugly IRL?  TIA!

I went to Anthro this week but don't recall seeing any of those skirts, however I love the 2nd one! I think it will be most versatile.

I've seen all but this one IRL

They are all really nice heavy cotton. Not like fall material heavy but like nice and heavy enough where it won't bunch up on you. I tried on the first and last one and loved the fits I just didn't buy them becuase I hate buying stuff I can't wear now.

I know the first one is a Marimekko skirt...their skirts are usually made of very durable cotton and wear really well.

marisco skirt

I saw this one this weekend and my friend tried it on. It's a durable cotton and it's really cute. One thing to keep in mind is that it keeps it's shape really, really well. You'd definitely need a smaller, non-bulky top to offset the poofy (wrong word but hopefully you understand) bottom.

It's super cute though and I actually thought about buying it myself. I might if it goes on sale, since it goes against my "can I wear it to work?" shopping mantra right now. But very cute.

I tried this on and hated it. The material is really stiff/scratchy and it just didn't hang well on my body at all. Very disappointing.

I saw this one, but didn't try it on because it reminds me of a surfer bathing suit:

I just ordered this yesterday, and will post a review when it arrives. I'm supposed to be on a shopping ban, but am using my upcoming trip to Hawaii as an excuse. ;)

eta: Bastet, I wrote back to your post about St. Barts in Travel -- my dad got back to me with info on places we stayed and ate.
