I was on South Moon Under and found these amazing heels, as mentioned by another member, and decided I want a pair:



I also want a pair of flats but am unsure of which one to buy. I usually wear them on my way to work with dress pants then change into heels, or running errands in jeans on the weekends. So which do you like better, Steve Madden or Dolce Vita?



And if anyone has purchased the DV, how do they run? The website says to size down.. I am between an 8 or 8.5 so I was thinking of getting the 8.

I like the DVs. The SMs seem very generic. I have a very, very similar pair from Payless. I only have 2 pairs of DVs but they run TTS for me or maybe even just a smidge small but nothing worth sizing up for. If they're a little big, you can always put some insoles in them (which you may want to do anyway for added cushion) to tighten them up.

blubirdie, I'm pretty much a size 8 but have sorta wide feet. Do you think an 8 in the DV would be small on me? Flats are sorta unpredictable in this sense. Thanks!

I like both pairs of flats, though they look different to me. I think I like the DVs better. The SMs aren't unique enough. If you wanted ballet flats like that, I'd seek out Target/Payless or get the original London Sole/Delman/Repetto/etc. ballet flats.

I have tried on a couple pairs of DV, all of which were pretty TTS and accomodating to wide feet.

Dolce Vita shoes are great for wide feet. I have several pairs and they are all really comfy. Those silver ones look very cute.


ETA: Oh and yes, I'd say they run true to size.
