sunday night blues?

does anyone else get these?  I get them pretty badly, even though once i'm at work, i don't seem to mind.

Anything that can be done to help alleviate this?

I get pretty bummed out Sunday nights. Mostly because I only work every second Monday so I'm constantly in long weekend mode and Sunday night no one ever wants to go out and play.

I'm so bored.

ugh. I definitely get them. I didn't really ever do it before, but for some reason this semester I hate school and I hate work and I don't look forward to any of it. Blech.

I try to plan something fun for Monday afternoon or evening, like lunch with a friend or even just walking around the mall by myself. It really helped when I used to take a ballroom dancing class on Monday nights, because I looked forward to that all week. It's self-indulgent, but I spend a lot of Sunday night eating junk food and watching a movie, which is kind of dumb and unexciting, but it helps me wind down and have a little fun by myself.

If I'm not feeling that, I do the self-indulgent thing by going to get ice cream or krispee kream with a friend late Sunday night! Most people aren't out on Sunday night, so it's pretty nice to do something that feels more exciting than what the rest of the world is doing.

i get them too.  like ttara said, i think it really helps to engage in a lil' self indulgent action on sunday evenings.

i make sunday evenings my night to pamper myself.  i take a bath with Lush bath bombs, deep condition my hair, and paint my nails.  because i have this stuff to look forward to, thoughts of sunday night don't seem so repulsive, for lack of a better word.  i also like to watch movies after my bath and stuff, or catch up on programs that are in the tivo.  sometimes FH will take me to the movies, or to get pizza and ice cream on sunday night.

i also agree that it may be a good idea to have something planned for monday.  i'm thinking of starting a book-making class on monday nights in march, and i know that will help me to get excited on sunday for monday

The idea of doing something Monday night is great- maybe i'll look around for a metal casting class or yoga class or something!  It sucks now that we're so busy and I don't know what nights I'll have to stay late

I get the Sunday night blues as well. I too am hating the school/work combo. It does help to do a little something on Monday night. I usually like to hit happy hour with some friends. Except, it's almost too hard to do that now with school on Tuesday mornings.

Too bad you don't live around me so we could hang out Sunday nights.  I get super bored on Sundays.

Me!!! The weekends are just too short.  Especially when you have to work 5 long days just to get to it.   I hate Sunday nights, but I agree with the others about indulging yourself.  I like to paint my nails, get into bed early and surf the internet with a cup of  tea, watch tv.  Generally do things that I don't feel like i have time for during the work week.

Finding a class on Monday nights sounds like a great idea.  I'm going to have to look into that.  Yoga sounds like it would be great!!
