Ok it's time again for my DH's yearly partners dinner. I need a cocktail dress to wear. Something somewhat conservative, just nothing super low cut/short. All the other wives typically wear boring LBD's so I guess I'd like something in a darker color as well though it need not be black. Price range $400. TIA!

What about the fabulous anthro dress that is now on sale, or is it not understated enough?

I love this but you're pretty tall so it may be shorter than you want, although I think the length is fine on the model.



I think this is really sophisticated although I can't decide how I feel about the hem/slit.
