My Target is selling REAL Coach stuff

No, I'm not delusional. I saw it the other day in the purse department. There was a sign that said something like "The Hot Brands You LOVE" and they were featuring Coach. I'm not a fan of Coach but I checked it out and it was totally real. Everything was in this same tan logo print. This bag was there, as well as a bigger one and some smaller accessories. The biggest bag was $230, if I remember correctly.

I don't know if Target is trying something new out because this particular Target also featured REAL (not the Mossimo version) True Religion jeans a while ago.

I hope this isn't like the Express Jeans Fiasco where they told everyone there were real and duped alot of people!

As I read your post, I thought I could remember Target being sued by Coach recently...I googled it:

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLJ,GGLJ:2006-34,GGLJ:en&q=Target+selling+Coach+bags

Coach sued Target, but then dropped the suit when Target agreed to stop selling "Coach" bags.  Apparently, they may have been real and were purchased by Target from some Department Store close-out sale....

But if the suit was dropped b/c Target agreed to Stop selling them...and now they are selling them...they better watch out!

I would never buy them.  Somehow I doubt these are real considering Coach isn't part of this.  And buying them at discount from department stores, yeah right.  The profit isn't there.

They're not fakes, but they're not authorized.

Here is another article on the suit.

Yeah, they showed up at my target too. Although, no one was interested in buying them while I was there.

Yup!  I saw them too and they were selling a fanny pack similar to one I bought at the real store for $99 - but the fabric and leather seem stiffer (and I got the gold/bronze leather).  Anyhow - I think most fashionistas out there like myslef, don't want to buy these luxury brands (i.e Coach, True Religion, etc) at a Target (no matter how much we love Target and those brands).  It's just a let down in the shopping experience.

ITA. If I go to Target, I'm looking for cheapy stuff. If I want Coach, I'm going to go somewhere classier.
