Help pick/dress one of these tops...PLEASE!!

Am interested in buying one of these tops...but it's not what my usual style is.  Any suggestions as far as bottoms, shoes, accessories..or should I not buy it?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm not crazy about either of them.. they remind me of an apron.. something June Clever would wear.  If you do decide on getting one, I would wear with skinny jeans and flats, sort of a Kate Spade look.

The first one might be cute if you remove the sash and wear it open over a t-shirt with jeans. They both seem though like the kind of thing that could easily look awful.Sorry.

Not really sure what about it that draws me...maybe because it is something completely different from what I normally wear.  I like the colors, I usually wear dark colors and just plain jeans and t-shirts.  I was looking for something more stylish and obviously failed...lol...thanks for the opinions though and any other suggestions would be appreciated.
