i want to shrink my cashmere sweater...

i've tried to do this in the past, and it didn't really work. i washed mine and then stuck it in the dryer in an effort to shrink it. no luck.

Did you want to shrink it to accomplish a closer fit? I usually have my cashmere altered b/c I like to make sure my waist is defined, I'm way too chicken to shrink on my own. I've also had the necklines changed because I realized that crewnecks are not my best look..I think anything can be done really.

I can't believe your cashmere didn't shrink when you washed AND dried it Honey...I only once washed a sweater accidentally in hot water and it became baby sized w/o drying. I think there's a trick to getting original size back but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
