Something similar to Stila's Illuminating Powder
Permalink Closed

This is what I normally use but there are two problems currently:

1) It shows the little flakes on my skin that I can't seem to get rid of no matter how much I moisturize or exfoliate or tone or whatever

2) I have tons of giftcards to Nordies that I need to use up (some from last xmas) so I want to buy some makeup there (they don't have Stila there)

Any thoughts?

come for a visit.  My nordies has stila

Hmm I don't do too well with powder but the one I use when I do is by LORAC.  I'm not sure if nordies carries them either though.  Do you use strictly powder or foundation as well?

Really? Mine doesn't and I couldn't find it online. I might have to go to Houston soon for the dad's bday anyway... hmmm....

I use strictly powder. I don't like anything heavy and nothing liquid or creme. But something I don't have to reapply 17 times thoughout the day either. Usually my morning routine consists of spf, concealer, and stila powder, etc.

(Pardon the hijack, just wanted to say that Nordies online gives away a goodie bag every Jan with *I think* a $75 purchase if you're able to hold out over the next couple weeks)

ETA: I checked with their live chat and the bonus starts on Jan 9. They don't say what the goods are until it's posted on their site, but in the past it's been very generous (better than the Sephora goodie bags imo).

I think Revlon has some illuminating powders?  You also might want to check out Benefit?

Good to know. I'll definitely wait until then. I also need a good moisturizer/spf for day, so that works out great. I'm still purusing MUA, so maybe I'll find something.

I can't remember if Nordie's carries Dior, but the DiorSkin Compact (powder foundation) has the same coverage and illuminating properties as Stila. It's more expensive though at $40.

ETA: Also really like giorgio armani's powder foundation, though that isn't as illuminating. I know some Nordies sell GA.
