Sunner dress -- yay or nay?
Permalink Closed

this dress is on sale at revolve for $83 (orig. $274):

it's a great price and i like it, but it's pretty sheer so i'd have to get a slip to wear under it.  also, i'm not sure if it's just TOO reminiscent of the '80s, and if i'd just look like i'm wearing my mom's old dress.  opinions?

I really like it.  The ruffles are soft and feminine, and it's a pretty color.

I think if you have anything resembling a curvey figure this could be really unflattering.

I am going to say nay.  I think that you can find something cuter for the price.  Don't be blinded by your sale goggles.

Didn't you buy the top version? I think I remember it from the shopping thread. I like the top much better than the dress. I think the sleeve shape coupled with the length makes it look kind of matronly.

I'm not sure that the style would be that flattering on many people.

I was kind of eyeing that dress...but I just can't get over the ruffles. They look very 70s to me. If they weren't there, I'd love the dress.

IMO it doesn't even flatter the model. And if it can't make the model look good...

I think you could do better.

yup, i bought the top on shopbop, but before i saw the dress on revolve.  hopefully the top will fit well (it was only available in a small, and i'm usually a S-M).  the dress is actually cheaper than the top, so it just seems like a better deal.  but then again, like Farrah said, i may just be blinded by the sale goggles!

For some odd reason that picture reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer on Scarface.  It's a cute dress, but I could never pull it off.
