It probably only looks strange because no-one ever does it. :) I think navy or red would look great.

I was going to suggest navy also. Do you just want different colors to wear it with or more suggestions in general??

I have the same vest and am having trouble geetign it to look right with something besides a white blouse too.

I want to try playing with layering a color over it instead...like wear it the normal way with the white, but then throw on a navy velvet blazer or something.

That sounds cute. I really like belts worn at the waist. If you like that look, you can just add a colorful belt too. Red patent would be cute!

You could also try an undershirt with a print - like a striped button-up shirt, but with stripes that are really fine and subtle. Or, a small floral print that works as a background to the bold stripes.

I kind of like the idea of the vest with a soft/light yellow underneath.

You could also wear it over a plain colored shirt dress...

I have that same vest and I wear it with a black pencil skirt, a black crew neck tee, and a skinny red belt around the waist.

Thanks ladies for all the ideas. I like the idea of navy and kitty's idea with the yellow shirts. I will play around and see what happens.

brazilian - other ways to wear it would be great. Do you have ideas? I would love to see it

Well I dont really have any different ways to wear it but if youre wearing the vest with regular tees and button-ups I would try it with something dressier.

I like the look of vests with a tie-neck top or ruffles...
