Our pals at Cops Online are reporting that Nicole Richie was arrested on a DUI and booked at 4:50 AM on Monday morning.


The booking sheet reveals taht Richie is 5'1" and still weighs an alarmingly thin 85 lbs.


How much did she weigh before she recently gained a few pounds?????


Nicole spent almost four hours in jail.


Hopefully she ate breakfast!


Sources tell PerezHilton.com that Richie is out on $15,000 bail.


The arrest occured near Glendale, the Los Angeles suburb where Richie's new boyfriend, Joel Madden, lives.


Nicole's SUV was spotted by two motorists going the wrong way on the 134 Freeway in Burbank. The drivers called 911, reports TMZ.


When the CHP responded, Richie was stopped in the carpool lane and was alone in the vehicle. When cops approached the vehicle, Richie was on her cellphone.


Law enforcement officers tell TMZ Nicole Richie admitted she had taken Vicodin and smoked pot.


No comment yet from the Simple Life star or her representatives.


She can always just say she was smoking pot for the munchie effect to help her gain weight!

Her mug shot isn't that bad! 


I really hope she gets some help.  Eighty-five pounds is pretty damn small, even if she is 5'1".

I just don't understand how with all the money these celebrities have they can't pay someone to drive them when they are under some kind of influence. She actually looks cute in her mug shot, but she should really get some help.

85lbs? Horrible. I think she has a drug problem. She says she doesn't have an eating disorder, (who really knows) but if she's doing drugs again, she would look like she has an eating disorder, which is how she looks now.

Lone voice of dissent here...


I really do not consider smoking pot a "drug problem"  I know a ton of people (myself included) that have smoked pot, inhaled, drove a car, and turned out just fine. Not that I condone driving under the influence, but the "drug problem" thing is a bit of a stretch.


About the weight...when I went through my rough time and was only 90 pounds it took me quite a while to put the weight back on once my doctors figured out what was wrong with me. 


Quite frankly I think she will get there.  A person doesn't change over night though.

While I don't think that she has a drug problem due to smoking pot, I find it extremely plausible that she may still have a problem with other drugs.  As for the weight issue, she is way too skinny, and for whatever the reason, I hope she gets over it soon.


What I don't get is why didn't she (or any other rich celebrity getting busted driving under the influence) have a driver?  I would totally have a driver if I could--I hate driving myself around!

While I agree that the pot really isn't a huge deal, I think the fact that she had Vicodin in her system is a big deal.  She's a former heroin addict, and Vicodin is an opiate.  I wouldn't be surprised if she's got an opiate addiction again, which is very sad.  I wish she'd get whatever help she needs.
