1. I want to get an eyelash curler. My eyelashes are pretty long. I wear mascara everyday and they look fine, but I feel like the edges of my top and bottom lashed always get stuck together. I feel like if I curl them they will stay seperate from eachother. Does anyone use one? Do I use it AND mascara? Which do I use first? Sorry for sounding so 12th grade about this, but I have never seen anyone use one before!

2. I recently got a haircut that looks reallly good styled with a straightener, only problem is my stylist did it and I can't get it to look the same. I think she used a product in my hair to help it get really smooth and sleek, any reccomendations? I have naturally wavy hair so I want something I can put in it before blow drying it and then straight ironing it to make it not frizzy.

Thanks all!

You can use both a curler and mascara...i always curl first, then apply mascara.  Everyone says that the Shu Emura (sp?) is THE eyelash curler to have...however, I bought mine at Target and it seems to work just fine.

As for your hair...I would shampoo with a straightening shampoo or a sleek and smooth type shampoo, as well as conditioner.  Then there are lots of products to help you straighten...

Yup, curl first then apply mascara.  I have the Shu Umera curler and it's great.  It gets all of my lashes in one go because of the way it's curved.  It's I think about $16 at Sephora, which is more than what you'd spend on a regular one, but I think it's worth it.

1.  I live for my eyelash curler, haha.  I like heated curlers the best.  I got one from Avon for like $7 but I'm sure there are cheaper or nicer ones out there.  What I usually do is curl the lashes first - hold then in the curler for about 10 seconds each, medium pressure - then apply a light coat of mascara (DiorShow.)  I curl them again but with light pressure - be careful not to pull out any lashes - then use another heavier coat of mascara.  To finish, I use an eyelash comb.  It seperates the lashes nicely and is really key to keeping the ends from sticking together, even though the mascara does a pretty good job of that already.

2.  I have naturally curly coarse hair that I wear straightened 95% of the time.  My stylist always uses BioSilk Silk Therapy before and after she styles it.  She also uses a big round brush, a super duper charged blow dryer, and a CHI flat iron on it.  I prefer to use Fredderic Fekkai's Glossing Creme and a cheaper flat iron but stick with the big round brush and super duper charged blow dryer.  I get the same results, though, minus that freshly cut look.  Both the silk therapy and glossing creme work really well and I'd recommend them to anyone.  You just have to remember that a little goes a long way.  Also, it took me several months before I figured out exactly how to style my hair like LaShae does so you might just give it some time and lots of practice.  Good luck!   Oohhh if anything, just call your salon and ask the stylist what products she used.  I'm sure she wouldn't mind selling a product or two, haha.

I love the Shu. Do curl first. I tried Sephora's heated curler and I HATED it. Some people hit a metal curler with their blow-dryer then curl, but that's too much of a hassle for me to bother. Worth a try, though.

As for product with a straightener, I really like Rusk's Str8 line. They have a lot of products to use with a straightener, and I've enjoyed them all.

Get the Shu curler - it is worth every penny!  I notice a huge difference between it and a drugstore brand curler.

This is BY FAR the best product I've ever used on my hair:

Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm Phytodefrisant hair relaxing balm - put it on before you blow dry, and I swear, it gets rid of all frizziness and makes your hair so soft.  I never used to be able to wear my naturally wavy hair straight on rainy or humid days and this product has made it possible.

I might be totally late on this, but I just got the Shu curler a few weeks ago, and I LOVE it. I ordered it to meet the free shipping minimum at Sephora, fully expecting it to not live up to the hype and planning to return it. I adore it. I can't explain how it works, but it curls every lash and doesn't pinch or crimp or pull at all. I am a total cheapskate with beauty tools, but this (and my Tweezermans) are worth the price!
