I need to vent a little frustration...


I have applied for a really great job that I really really hope I get. The job sounds really interesting, the pay is good and the company seems really great. They candidates are down to myself and another person.


Sooo... I just found out from a friend that works at the company that they have decided to hold off on making a decision until after Christmas. Arrrgh!!! The wait has been killing me and now I have to wait even longer!?! Arrrgggh!!!


I can wait, its not that I need this job right immediately. I just really want to know!!! The suspense is killing me.

I didn't really want to talk it up too much because I felt like it would jinx it... It is a position for an assistant at a corporate finance/stock brokerage firm that my brothers gf works at. Actually, she personally recommended me to her boss because she thought I would be "perfect". Its only an assistant position but it would essentially be organizing the lives of these three corporate finance guys- lots of organization and multitasking, both of my strong suits. She immediately thought of me b/c of how I excell at organization and also because my bro mentioned that I want to get out of cooking but can't afford to go back to school and don't really have a plan for what else I want to do. Anyway, the job sounds really interesting and I think I'd do really well at it. And the pay is at least $12 000 a year MORE than my current salary *gasp*.


However, it has come down to myself and another person who has a degree in finance. But they don't know if they want an accredited person or not. So now...we wait...and wait...I don't want to put all of my eggs in one basket but I reaaalllly want this!


Cross your fingers for me!
