I tried on this Billabong jacket the other day and it was so cute that I can't get it off my mind. It was on sale for $60, i think. The picture looks a little weird, it was waaay cuter IRL. It is corduroy and lined with faux fur and has a hood trimmed with fur.
I really shouldn't be shopping b/c of Christmas and our house and all that. I already bought a new Oakley jacket for snowboarding this year and I have a blue peacoat from 2 years ago that is in good shape. I have a similar spring coat (an off-white corduroy peacoat) that is my absolute favorite jacket and I wear all the time when it is nice enough out and this Billabong jacket really reminds me of it. I think I could get a lot of wear out of it. But should I be spending the $$$?
I think $60 is a decent price for the jacket. I like it except for the faux fur (I'm against faux fur but that is another story for another day) personally but I think the jacket would look cute on you.
Like NCShopper said, maybe buy it and think about it for awhile, then return it if it's not right.
One thing: if you live in a cold climate, I'd say get it. You can always use a new and versatile coat. It doesn't sound similar to the others you have, and the price isn't bad.
While I love the jacket and think you would look great in it and it would work perfectly with your style.....I think you need to wait. I would hold off until after Christmas, Billabong stuff is sold in a lot of places so I think your chances of finding it somewhere are pretty good. Besides, it will be cold enough for months to come up near the North Pole where you are. Plus, you have much more important things to be saving your money for (getting your own place!!). Seriously, it will be okay...a beautiful jacket but it would look even more beautiful hanging in your very own closet in your very own (shared with C of course) house.
