So, I have been searching and searching and searching for boots appropriate for walking in the snow and ice to no avail. I think I'm just going to settle for some quality wellies.

Does anyone own these? Are they worth $100?

I've never owned that brand, but I think wellies are the way to go in snow and ice.

I don't have that particular wellie, but I have some other wellies and wore them yesterday in the snow/ice and my feet were freezing (I was just getting the mail so I didn't have on any socks), so be sure to layer on the warm socks!  But my traction was good.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. I can definitely get some toasty socks somewhere.

I think I'm going to go for them. :)

i like the wellies- wanted to post this option which i have (mine isn't quilted)- so comfy warm and good traction- only about $20:

Totes Catskill Sport Boots

kohl's has some other cute-ish totes shoes and they are all $20-25.
