Bluefly F&F code for 20% off
Permalink Closed

I know a lot of here won't buy from Bluefly due to their return policy, but for those of you who do:

We’re having a great holiday season and its time to share the LOVE. Family and Friends can receive 20% off at Bluefly.com now through November 30th. They just have to enter coupon code FRIENDS110 during checkout to take advantage of this offer. Forward this email on and they'll get to feel like a bluefly insider too, scoring great gifts for their friends and family (or even treating themselves).

For some extra holiday fun, the marketing team is sponsoring a prize to the floor whose friends and family generate the most sales between Nov. 28 - 30 using the unique discount code provided for each floor (only 10 received this code). The prize will be a pizza party for the winning floor.

Thanks for the code - I like their deals and have never had a problem returning things.  I've been shopping Bluefly since the year it first started.

I know some will think I'm a bitch for saying this, but why isn't this code also listed in the coupon codes? I mean, it doesn't take much effort, and it's incredibly easy to click on the link at the upper right of the forum and add it THEN yell it off the roof tops. I know I speak for many in that it's difficult to track these codes down when they are one-off posts, thus the need for a central place to put them. I'm not just directing this at you, Z4, and I'm not personally mad at you, it's others as well. We have a super easy system in place to make this easy for everyone, and I don't understand why we are spending money on it an no one uses it.  Am I just expected to scour the boards to pick all the codes out and post them myself?

sorry for the rant, but I'm frustrated, and I feel all of the efforts and money spent to make everyone's shopping life easier and nicer is just ignored.

ETA: I've added the link to the coupon code database.  With all the hits to the sticky post at the top of the board, I thought it would be common knowledge that the codes are so easy to get to.

ditto. I have no idea why anyone couldn't deal with their return policy. it's 3 months, that's pretty generous.

I think it is because they now limit you to the number of returns you can do similar to express.  Here is an old post about it : http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=44784&p=3&topicID=6140752

In my experience with Bluefly I've never had a problem, but I remember that older post and understand why people were aggravated. I talked to a customer service rep at Bluefly and she told me they only block people who return everything they order -- I don't know if that's really true, but it's how she explained it.

Not to sound defensive (because I know you weren't yelling at me, D), but I didn't bother posting it in the database because it's only good for the next two days. I figured someone looking for a Bluefly code would probably look at Shopping & Fashion too. One less code to clean out of the database.

after I posted that, I was wondering if that was the case. we do have a field for expiration, and with asf's help, we are going to be more closely monitoring the maintenence of the codes.

I guess I was just frustrated and it was a spontaneous reaction. I spent a ton of hours over the weekend trying to create a new database, clean up the codes, and clean up and update the special offers.

thank you for posting it, btw. it is a killer code!

I thought that was why we were going to have a sticky every week for short lasting codes   Especially around the holidays.  Thanks for all you do keeping up with the codes/coupons for us!  You rock!

I read and understand that darling, I just was saying I thought we were going to have a sticky for us to post short lived coupons, like F&F so we didn't have to search for them and since they are so short they weren't going in the coupon base, but I could just be confused.

as stated in the post post I mentioned, "Let's start using the coupon code link in the forum to manage the codes vs. posting them in a sticky. If you feel a code is too good to not yell off the rooftops, then by all means, after you have entered it into the database, tell your fellow STers about it in a post."
