Just wanted to pop in and say hello.  I haven't been on the forum in months but I wanted to announce that my husband and I had a baby boy on November 9th.  His name is Benjamin Rory, and we will call him Ben.  He weighed 7 lbs and 1 ounce.  I'll try to post pictures of him later.  I hope everyone is dong well and I look forward to catching up on some old posts soon to see what's going on with you guys.


Also, if anyone in Dallas wants to get together I would be game.  I'll be here for 3 1/2 more weeks before I go back to Cairo.

Oh alb, I am so excited for you!  Did A get to come back home for a while?  I'll look at my calendar, but I don't know if I can make it down that way or not by then.  I'll let you know!

Oh, congratulations! Those nine months seemed to just go by so fast...I keep thinking about all the preggos on here and then go "Oh, it's only been a couple of months...they aren't gonna be popping anytime soon". Guess I was wrong! I love the name Benjamin Rory, btw.

Thanks everyone for your responses.  I struggled a bit after the birth with post partum depression and just feeling overwhelmed in general, primarily b/c my husband was here for the birth but had to go back to Egypt when Ben was just 9 days old.  It's tough being around so much family during that time and thanksgiving, etc. w/o him, but all is much better now.  I'm ready to stop living out of a suitcase and get my life & family back to normal though. I feel like such a loser living with my parents (no offense to those who live with mom and dad, it's just not for me in my stage of life right now and I feel like I'm in HS again)!  Anyway, Ben is doing really well and I'm happy in general although majorly sleep deprived.  FP, thanks for asking about Lucy.  She is adjusting to Ben really well, but is a bit confused with all the changes and now that daddy isn't here.  She loves Ben though and constantly wants to see and touch the "baby." 


Kari, Laken, Misty and whomever else--I'd love to see you guys if we can arrange something soon!
