Hey girls--I hope everyone is doing well these days. I haven't been on the forum in months but I thought I'd pop in to say hello and to get some opinions. I am looking for a gemstone ring in yellow citrine (which is the birthstone of our 2 1/2 week old boy). I really love Cathy Waterman rings but the only one I can find in citrine is this one. This ring is not really what I imagined, but I kind of like it. What do you all think? Any better ideas?
Congrats on the birth of your son! We've been wondering about you, if you get a chance I'd love to see pics of the baby. How's Lucy liking being a big sis? And how are you?
Anyway, about the ring, it's ok, I feel like it looks disproportionate or something. I think you can do better.
For something that's over 3 grand, and you're not so sure, I wouldn't buy it. I have a jewelry designer in mind, but it's totally slipping my mind- I'll post when I remember!
Thanks for the opinions, girls. I really like the ring I posted but I am still a little undecided. I have always wanted a ring by that designer (Cathy Waterman), although she has other settings that I like better with other stones. I may take a look at it in person and then decide. If anyone has any more suggestions, please let me knopw. I like the Tiffany ones as well. Thanks again!
I love that ring... Cathy Waterman's workmanship is amazing. That ring was actually the engagement ring used on the movie "Monster in Law". The ring looks a bit more delicate in the pic than it does IRL. It is absolutely exquisite in real life. I think if you buy it, you will cherish it forever and it will become an heirloom. It definitely has an estate quality to it IMO.

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm excited to hear that you've seen it in real life and like it (and that it was used in that movie)! I love Cathy Waterman's work as well, and I've always wanted a ring from her. Thanks again for your feedback.
