Help me find a travel bag
Permalink Closed

I'm looking for a travel bag for my 17 year old daughter who's going off to college.

Big enough to use for weekend trips home.  In the $100 range if that's possible.

Had found a really cute one at Victorias Secret but they discontinued it after charging me.  Grrr...

I really would appreciate some help.  Thanks.

I was at the Barney's outlet yesterday and they had a bag that was perfect for this. It was like $60 and awesome. If you have one nearby, you should definitely check there.

do you have a TJ Maxx near you?

ours has the BEST luggage section.  i bought a nice oversized duffle by Coach there as well as a 24" roll bag by DVF.  def. worth checking out.

I found some great bags @ Marshall's, Ross & TJ Maxx.  Also check out ebags.com & sierratradingpost.com as well.

I've always loved LLBean tote bags for weekends away and they're really popular at the colleges I have been at... There's always the classic boat and tote (with monogram of course):

Or a leather messenger:

Plus there are so many other great variations in different colors, tweed, leather, etc. But if she's not preppy, I think that the suggestions for TJMaxx, etc. are all good ones.

Oh, and Lesportsac can make kind of fun weekend bags that are very reasonably priced in lots of different patterns:
