Hi again,


I'm going to a formal gala next week.  Its at the end of a full week away from home and I'll be in two cities with different climates so I'm already packing heavy.  I was thinking of wearing this dress.  It is a bright aqua underdress with a brown chiffon overdress beaded in a chevron pattern.

and want to take these ballet flats in case my feet get sore from dancing.  Do you think these are okay for the dress and should I also take my heels or just wear the flats?

I think the shoes are adorable- but, when I think formal, I think heels. Flats would probably look too casual.

I do agree with what kmd wrote, but I also think that there's nothing wrong with bucking tradition a bit and being unconventional. While it might be unusual (and I probably would suffer through heels), if you prefer comfort, then why not?
