What's On Your List?

i know someone posted this earlier, but since it's getting closer to the holidays, i was thinking maybe more people have given thoughts to their lists.  since, my grandma is sick, my mom for the first year is asking for lists (she used to be very anti-lists).  my SO's side of the family always sends lists too.  personally, i think i'm too old for lists, but since i think i will piss more people off by not creating a list, i need help.  my birthday is a month after christmas so i need lots.


what's on your list?



  • magazines

  • socks (i always seem to lose mine)

  • gold bangles

  • ???

everything else that i want i would probably like to pick out myself.


weekend shopping always helps me (like the dolce vita shoes that sephorablue posted), so post your lists....

  • Gift cards to Nordstrom, Target, and Lowes

  • Slippers

  • Brown Danskos

  • Curtains/rods for our living room and kitchen

That's the most boring list evah.  But I really do like getting gift cards - I get the joy of opening something, then I get the joy of shopping for something, and then I get the joy of finding something I'd normally not buy for myself!

I'm still working on it but:


  • Subscriptions to the Economist (hehe) and Marie Claire
  • New Set of Sheets
  • DVD's of lighthearted tv shows or movies
  • Cooking Class
  • And of course clothes! I just name some of my favorite stores and then hope that something good arrives!

Elle- i know what you mean about gcs.  i would be so happy with just gcs but my mom won't do it.  who knows.  maybe this year she will go ahead with it.

hahaha.  i *kinda* know.  i feel like i'm A LOT more ready than i was a year or even two years ago.  we haven't really talked specifically about the M word, but we've talked about our future....and i didn't realize how strongly i felt about making it official until i heard him tell me that he went to chicago's jewelry district with his friend to pick up his friend's rings.

Yeah, we've been talking about marriage for like 3 years. He just cashed out a ton of stock...so, fingers crossed!

  • Gift cards to ANY store, even better if I actually shop at those stores, but I'll try anything new

  • Tall brown leather boots

  • New CD walkman, for when I go walking at home (I have killed my other one)

For some reason, maybe since I have already shopped too much this year, I don't have much of a list this year. I would like gift cards to Nordstrom or just the mall gift cards so I can buy things as I find them. I know my mom bought me a cute Fossil watch yesterday, but aside from that I have no ideas.
