My DH needs a jacket for the nice dinner in NY. I'd like to get him something that he can wear anytime in this situation & be done with this fight once & for all! We go through this 1 or 2 or 3 times a year. His job is completely casual - he wears jeans & hawaiian shirts or golf shirts every day. He NEVER EVER needs a jacket for work. Someone gave him an acceptable ivory linen jacket that he has squeaked by in during summer months but he honest to gosh doesn't understand why he can't wear that in November.

Here is the challenge - since he never needs it he refuses to use "his" fun money on it & I'm not spending the money I've saved for clothes that I need - so it needs to be $100 or less. He will completely buck anything "fashionable" & metro so not Banana or somewhere like that. What in the world can I get him? It also needs to be B&M since I have to get this Saturday or Sunday.

Suggestions? Does Nordies Rack have this type thing? Burlington?

what color do you think? He has khaki pants & choc brown pants.....

I'd hit Burlington, Ross, TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Target.  Nordstrom Rack has jackets, but they are still quite expensive.  The Target suit separates are a favorite of my hubby (they fit very well, are machine washable, and I think the jackets are $40-ish?).

I think a brown jacket or gray jacket would look nice with the tan pants.  The brown pants could work with a tan jacket or navy maybe ...?

I think that navy would definitely be my go-to color if your husband is more of the traditional rather than fashionable dresser.
