Looking for a mens tie

I know this is kind of an obscure question,but any help is much appreciated.


Next month me and my bf will be attending the Christmas Party from his work. I wanted to plan out what we are going to wear ahead of time so there will be no last second shopping to do. So I was looking through his closet helping him get out an outfit together and found out he only owns 3 ties all of which are very boring and remind me of something my father would wear. *shudders*


So he agrees I can go shopping for a new tie for him. Except he doesn't want anything in a pattern.  I have been looking for a tie in two colors with wide stripes to no avail.


Do you ladies have any idea where I can look for a tie like this or have any of you seen something like that.


I am open to other suggestions as well.


btw I will be wearing a black dress and his suit is also black.

J Crew has some 2 tone striped ones. Also I'd look at Bacharach or a more traditional type of store. However, It seems like these ties are usually navy and another color.


D, we posted the same one at the same time!


I just bought my dad a black on black striped tie for x-mas at Von Maur.


Ooh, did you try Mens Wearhouse? They should have something conservative, and a big selection too.

I'm not used to shopping for a guy so I was so overwhelmed and didn't know where to look.
