I really want to get this Geren Ford cami, $130 BIN on ebay. Retail is $220. It's silk, I love the cool but neutral pattern, the shape, the proportion, everything. I can layer it over a t-neck or long-sleeved tee or wear it under a jacket or alone. On the one hand, I feel like it's absurd to spend so much money on a little strip of silk (though obviously the retail price is obscenely inflated--I saw the solid version of this in the store and while it was nice, it was nowhere near $220 nice). But on the other hand, I'm really tired of buying things that are sort-of-but-not-really the right fit for what I'm looking for, but are cheaper, and then hating them later.
If you love it and it will make you feel special every time you wear it - buy it! You can't put a price on that! I'm also sick of buying clothing that's a good deal but I don't love.
(Plus it's super cute and less than retail).

I love it and it sounds like you have ideas that will allow you to wear it year-round. If it's in your budget I would get it. Have you crunched those cost per wear numbers yet?
I think that it is really cute and you seem to have thought of ways to wear it. However, when you saw it in person, would you consider that top worth $130? If you think that it is worth it and you can afford it, I would go for it.
It's beautiful, and it sounds like you really love it. So unless you think you could find it on sale at some point for less than $130, I would buy it. I love the print!
Its very beautiful but that would be SOO easy to make. there is no way that it is worth 130$ Even though its silk that would take maybe a few hours from start to ready to wear to make. But if you have the money go for it.
