awwww I really love it here, too

I don't have a whole lot of girl friends in real life, and it's so great to know that if I have a problem or a concern, or even if I want to know which color shoes to wear, there are so many supportive people here to help me through everything. I've only been here since April, but I've loved every minute I'm on here. I never thought I'd be the kind of person to get into any kind of online community (I thought my friends were so nerdy!)...but once I signed up (sure that I would quit visiting shortly as my interest died down), I couldn't stop visiting almost every day. I love that all you guys are out there.

I totally agree. I love our community. You girls mean so much to me. When someone is having a problem I think about you when I'm not online and hope things are ok. I talk about you girls like I really *know* you to other people sometimes. Thank you D for hosting and running such a great site.

completely agree! i think it's rare to have such a supportive, close-knit group like this on the internet...or maybe in real life too. i love that everyone has different styles, comes from different backgrounds, brings something unique to the community, yet supports everyone else, even if they don't like the shoes someone picked out.

I totally agree and was actually thinking the same thing recently. I was amazed by the support when I posted about being scared before my surgery. You girls are great and thanks to this sight all of know we always have support no matter when we need it!

I must agree we do have the best on-line community! It's because it's full of quality people. I worry that some may think I'm harsh with the rules I have in place and that I am not wavering in how I enforce them (a lot happens behind the scenes that you guys don't know about *cough* foot fetishists *cough* spammers), but I'm convinced that these rules help keep our community full of quality people, as well as provide a wholesome and vibrant environment.

Thank you for the compliment, but all of us on the board have played a part in creating a model of what we all want/need in online communities. The core group did start as refugees from another fashion forum, after all.

I also love how I get to be a part of all your lives! I get to live vicariously through you all - from riding elephants, to travel, to babies, to new shoes, to joys and heartaches. Your lives enrich my life, and that's invaluable.

I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank all of you for being there for me too! Stuff like the stuff I've been going through really shows you who your real friends are. Your support and understanding has really helped me get through a horrible experience that is often lonely. Thank you all for that.

Now I'm getting all teary! wah! mushfest!
