this Ferre bag was marked down from $1600 to $100. the yellow is very neon, but it's just a splash... everything else about the bag is gorgeous - the hardware is super heavy duty and i love the little brown houndstooth check. the size is perfect... I don't know what to do... learn to love the touch O' neon?

another thought... since the 80's trends are making a comeback, maybe I'm just ahead of the curve in having neon? it's like the purple boots I bought last year - purple was supposed to be big, it never took off, and I didn't have the balls to be "misunderstood" - I returned them, and now I'm kicking myself... I hate it when that happens...


that being said, should I gamble on being ahead of the curve? should I just not give a shit about what people think of neon?

I like it as is, it's cool and different.  Maybe carry it a couple of times and then if you feel weird or uncomfortable, see about changing it.

that was exaxtly my first thought. I bet in a while neon will be big - I mean, aren't we seeing leggings and skinny jeans with long tops? And the perm is coming back (which makes me shudder-never again!)


I'd seriously keep it. besides, I am convinced if you wear ANYTHING with a lot of confidence you are gonna have followers!!!

I don't know how I feel about it.  I think I'd prefer it if the neon weren't there.  The neon isn't that bad, but on the other hand, I don't love it, and I really think you should love what you buy.  However, that being said, you can definitely pull it off, but I think you should love it.

I kinda like it, I think it makes it unique. Have you seen it IRL or just ordered it online? Perhaps it's not as bright IRL. I also think for the price, even if you carry it a few times it's worth it.

I would definitely like the bag a lot better without the neon. But I'm sure you could make it work, especially as it's not that bright IRL. I do love everything else about it.

My first impression was...UGLY.  That said, sometimes ugly is appealing in it's own way.  It's kind of cool and different.  I voted to keep.

I think since the price is so good -- I would add a large jeweled pin or some sort of decoration to that area to tone it down or to at least draw the eye to the decoration first.  Since the yellow is so bright, adding something may turn it into a conversation piece.
