My dad is in the hospital - UPDATE!

Oh I just had to write about this because I am so worried. This last few weeks I feel like it has been one sick family member after another. My father in law has cancer, my husbands cousin died a few days ago in a car crash and now today my dad has a major rip in his intestines and it is leaking tons of bile into his body which is causing gang green in his organs. It is a major ordeal and I have been with him at the hospital almost all day ... I am so worried. I am trying to stay postive for my mom and I really NEED my husband to come home from his cousins funreal so that I can lean on someone ...

UPDATE****************



Well he has surgery and now he is in ALOT of pain. I wont go into any gorey details (bec it is nasty) but he should be in the hospital at least another week and then will need an at home nurse for 2 weeks after that. Thankfully he is doing ok, however he is in ALOT of pain and the procedure they had to cut open his rectum to do. So you can only imagine....

Anways THANK YOU everyone for your concern and for keeping my spirits up! I am so thankful for such a supportive online community

yeah, that sucks. I'm not a good source of support for anyone right now, but what you're going through sounds very similar to my life lately. it's really hard to spend all that time in the hospital, but it's hard not to be there for them either. hang in there and stay strong. I'll be sending positive thoughts.

That sucks, alliegurl. If it makes you feel any better, my mom had something similar happen to her earlier this year. It took a lot of time in the hospital and a surgery or two, but she's totally fine now. I hope it's the same for your dad.
