Black Tie Event

So hubby's job has a Black Tie Charity event next week. I am going against my thought of a long dress because I already have this:

I was thinking of doing a embellished cardi and keeping it 40's glamour style. But I am open to other ideas. Can you ladies help me dress up my LBD?

Even help finding an ebellished cardigan that seems dressy enough? Or any other suggestions?

Maybe you can try a fancy wrap/pashmina instead of a cardigan? Some long, sparkly earrings, killer shoes and a great clutch and you should be good to go!

i agree. i probably wouldn't do a cardigan. maybe even a nice (faux or real) stole. that would definitely take the glam effect up a notch!

i love the idea of a fur for the whole 40's style look- so glam! found this on arden b, the color might not be quite right, but i love the suede touches

I agree that a pashmina would look beautiful with the dress.

I love the idea of faux fur to add glamour. If you don't want to spend a ton of money on one, Forever 21 has this for $40:

I'm a tad busy at work but I do remember seeing really pretty pieces at White House/Black Market over the weekend that were really nice and would look nice over that dress.

I would do the embellished cardi and not a pashmina, everyone always goes for that pashmina... but remember that your accessories is what's going to make the outfit special... Don't forget a pair of great shoes.
