to wear a color-blocked dress with a cream lace top and brown silk skirt part to a wedding? I've never been to one before (!!) and don't know- all i know is you're supposed to not wear white (maybe not black also?) __________________ my fashion/style thoughts www.poetryofpause.com

IMO black is ok for a wedding if its night time - more cocktailish. I wore a cream shrug over a plum dress this past weekend to a wedding and didn't feel too out of place or like I was committing a fashion faux paux.
