a nice chocolate brown suit lately? I tried one on this time last year but didn't really need a new suit. Now I do (I only have one that's decent for business and will need to wear a suit 3x a week starting in Jan.) and I can't get it out of my head that I want a chocolate one...but i can't seem to find one I like now. I'm willing to spend $300-400 if the quality and fit merits the price.

J Crew has chocolate brown wool twill and wool crepe options - there are a bunch of different pieces you can mix and match.


I'm sure Theory has chocolate brown suits as well.

I love this DVF one though it is above your range and also not as versatile

thanks! I looked at j.crew but this monitor is crap and I can't see pictures well at all! Good to know they have one- I love their suiting! Do you think it's worth checking out the Theory outlet? I know there's one at Woodbury and I'm probably going there in 2 weeks (ie weekend after I get back- I'm in serious shopping withdrawal!!). I've never paid much attention there though- anyone know what their pricing and selection is usually like?

poster dot and I were just at Woodbury last weekend. I remember that we weren't especially impressed by the Theory outlet but I'm not sure exactly why. The prices definitely weren't that great and they had a lot of cute things but I don't remember tons of suiting. Of course I was also bitter because they didn't have my size in anything I was interested in. But if you are already going there you might as well stop in.

I got a couple of brown suits at Macys a few weekends ago. The quality is not amazing but I needed the quantity more than anything else at the time and they're cute for the price. I can't imagine them lasting more than a couple of years but hopefully by then I'll be able to afford something nicer.

I have the choc brown Jcrew suit in crepe. I LOVE it. I shouldn't have listened to the salesgirl and bought a size down so that it looks "tailored" bc i gained weight and now the suit is too tight. Working on the problem.


 


For the few weeks it fit it was great!

i got one at limited a couple of years ago that has held up fairly well.  i haven't been in recently to know if they have any now though.  it seems sometimes they have a lot of suits and sometimes they don't.
