What to make from Cashmere sweater

A moth got my cashmere off white polo sweater.....right on the boob. Any ideas of what I could make or do with the fabric? I hate to throw it away since the cashmere is so nice but the sweater is ruined. Something for the baby? Booties or a blankie?
Also, how to you ward off moths beside moth balls. Cedar doesn't seem to always work.

Oh I think you can totally do some little booties. I saw a pattern somewhere for some with a drawstring and toggle around the ankle that were so cute. I bet you could adapt that pattern I'll see if I can find it and post more info...

booties would be adorable! or what about a little poncho or something like that? I bet that would be really cute too and probably wouldn't be too hard. A pillow is always really easy too.
