chunky '90s boot?
Permalink Closed

Opinions on these boots?  Does the heel make it look like the chunky boots from the 90s that we all fell victim to?  I'm looking for a pair of tall, not slouchy, black boots to tuck my jeans in to.  I want a pretty sleek style that doesnt have obviously date-able embelishments.

Can you guys pretty please post pics of your boots that you're using for this look?

chunky heels are coming back in - and I think this heel, especially in combination with the round toe makes them look current.

I have been wearing both chunky and stiletto heels, round and ponty toe lately -- if you like them, go for it.

I bought the Vitorre style last year in brown and black and LOVE them.  Even though I do like the ones you posted, I like this style better.  I like that the toes on these are a little norrower (less chunky) and don't have the black sole edging around the toe (if you look at the top from the multi-view you'll see what I mean).  Also I like the seams where the foot part joins the leg part.  These may give you a sleeker look, I've been happy with them.

I don't think those boots are too chunky. 90's chunky boots were lower and chunkier than that.

Here are my stacked heel boots from BR:
