I think the invitation only thing might not be very accurate... it was a few months ago, but I just registered and got accepted no problems. Did you try? I'll see if there's anything about sending an invitation...

it looks liek tis a new thing. They must have let people already registered stay on. I saw a place to request invites, but you have to like, write an essay about what kind of person you'd invite and I really don't have the time to do that.
