Jeans - why is this so hard?
Permalink Closed

I can't find ANY jeans that fit my requirements. I feel like crying.

My requirements are as follows:

1. Dark wash - no fadding/deconstruction
2. A cut that doesn't come in at the knee - I like a straight line that will help hide my hips/thighs.
3. Medium rise - nothing too low
4. Long - I have a really long inseam and I need a pair of jeans that I can wear w/ heels
Why is this IMPOSSIBLE to find?

I don't know if these are exactly what you're looking for, but I have 2 pairs of Joe's Muse jeans and they are amazing. They have a higher, 8.5" rise, 35.4" inseam, and the Phoenix wash is a really pretty, dark rinse. They aren't totally straight... they kinda have a slight flare or full leg. I'm tall with a long torso and these are by far the best jeans I've ever worn.

HOLY CRAP, yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for. How does the sizing run?

Gap trouser jeans? They have the option of a long inseam, too

I second the Joe's Muse Jeans.  They are my favorite.  I picked mine up at Nordstrom Rack for around $50.

I third the Muses...I love that fit for curvier girls. Anthro frequently has them on sale as well.

Same for me.  I am not tall or very curvy, but I do have a booty and I love these jeans so much.  Maybe they are universally flattering.  The holy grail of denim?

LOVE the Muse jeans as well, best fitting jeans I've ever worn.

they do fit really well- i could wear the 27, and i usually wear a 28, and sometimes a 29 for brands that run small.

I just wanted to post a couple of other choices:

1.  The Joe's Lover.  It's a looser, but not sloppy, jean - and so comfortable.  I practically live in mine on the weekends.  The leg is wide - so I think it would be very close to the look you are going for.

2.  The Seven Boycut.  These are a pretty straight/very moderate bootcut jean.  They run true to size.  They create the illusion of straight leg, but are much more flattering than a true straight leg can be sometimes.

Thanks ladies. I went to Macy's today and tried on the muse - AWESOME. They do run pretty big..which was nice, cause I felt like I was getting a small size :)
