Anyone have any suggestions for great towns in Italy that are close enough to visit for a day while staying in Rome? TIA!


(I'm looking for small town suggestions- not Florence, Naples/Capri, etc.) Thanks!

We went to Hadrian's Villa in Tivoli for the day. The gardens were so beautiful and it was great b/c Rome was so hot when we went, the gardens seemed so much cooler. I don't remember how far it was but it's pretty close, close enough for just a day trip.
