does anyone have boucle sweaters from VS?

I am admiring the boucle sweaters from VS, the ones with fabric that looks like this (these aren't the specific sweaters I want, but they show the fabric):




Does anyone have one or seen one IRL? I know VS quality can be shady...are these sweaters any good? warm? Also, I was looking at the catalogue with some friends when I was about to say how I think these sweaters look so cute and cozy... when they all exclaimed that it was such an ugly fabric and who would wear something like that?

Does anyone have opinions on that? Is it a really awful look I should stay away from?

I have one & I think it's really cozy - of course I also live in TX. For the price (i paid full price which was about $60ish if I remember right) I didn't think the quality was there, but if they are on sale I think it's ok for about $30 or 40. I also think the pictures make the fabric look a little more harsh/pilly (?) than they are IRL - My sister has 2 & everytime I have seen her in them I thought how cute she looks.

ETA: I also wanted to add that I bought mine maybe 4 years ago - so I'm assuming it's the same fabric - I can't imagine that it's changed that much in that time frame (for VS anyway).

Yeah, I was wondering about the fabric too. I'm hoping it's something that can machine wash and dry without any trouble. I got one of the ruffle boucle cardigans which should arrive Tuesday, but I'll be out of town until Thursday so I will have to wait and see!
