Men's stores and clothing

I'm trying to start my Christmas list for my husband and during the past few years or so he has turned into a very nice dressing hottie (yep, I can say that after 12 years of marriage!)...Anyhoo, I want to get him some cute stuff to add to his already good looking wardrobe but I'm having trouble as to what to add. His office is business casual but he's executive management so he's dresses up a bit.  He wears dress pants and dress shirts everyday (mostly Banana Republic shirts-you know stripes, french cuff, and regular white, light blue).  We live in the midwest and it is pretty conservative here so that comes into play.  He has a black dress coat already, he's got some casual Lacoste stuff, he's decent on shoes, sooo...can you post some of your favorites of the following items:

-Jeans (what do you buy for your guy?)

-Ties

-Casualwear (maybe a warm-up?)

-Shirts for work (other than those from Banana)?

-And just some of your guy's favorite brands/stores???

Thanks!

My bf dresses really, really well so I'm going to fill this out with my thoughts then I ask him and revise.

-Jeans (what do you buy for your guy?)

He wears mostly Sevens, COHs, Diesel, Rock n Republic, and a few other nice brands that I can't remember off the top of my head.

-Ties

I love BCBG ties.  They come in great colors and patterns.  One of my favorite outfits (if you can call it that on a guy) of his is a pink checked shirt and brown BCBG tie he has with a pattern in it that is the same color brown.

-Casualwear (maybe a warm-up?)

Not sure on this one.  I will get back to you.

-Shirts for work (other than those from Banana)?

He wears a lot of the nordstrom brands.  He also says that in his opinion Polo makes a much better polo shirt than Lacoste (although he still wears Lacoste).  Will get back to on specifics, but check out Ben Sherman and Robert Graham.

-And just some of your guy's favorite brands/stores???

He really loves Nordstroms and a lot of local stores/boutiques in the Dallas area.  He also like Diesel and Kenneth Cole.

Isn't it great to have a guy that loves clothes as much as you (or well the closest thing for a guy)??

I only have something to say about dress shirts, I don't know enough to have a worthwhile opinion on anything else. What if you treated him to a custom-made shirt? I'm definitely going to do that for my BF sometime. If off-the-rack shirts fit him well then this is irrelevant. But I know so many people (myself included, but also men) who don't fit exactly into the preset sizes on dress shirts, so they buy something that is a nice shirt but doesn't fit 100%. My friend got a custom-made shirt (called a "bespoke" shirt), and it looks amazing on him because it fits him so incredibly well.

-Jeans - DH wears Lucky jeans pretty much exclusively, they just fit him really well

-Ties - wherever we find ones he likes, although i've actually had great luck at TJ Maxx and they're so cheap there

-Casualwear (maybe a warm-up?) - i think DH has like 15 zipper warm-up type jackets, but he does wear them a lot.  he has ones from Banana, Express, and Club Monaco, and probably everywhere else, even Target

-Shirts for work (other than those from Banana)? - Brooks Brothers have the best IMO, and they come in slim fit too, which is good since they're a bit more fitted and less blousy (this goes for their polos too)

-And just some of your guy's favorite brands/stores??? - DH loves Club Monaco, but it helps that i think he is their exact size medium there...they have stuff that's fairly traditional but more interesting and less stuffy than other places (such as Brooks Brothers)

Jeans - DH finally asked for 'trendy' jeans, so he got a pair of diesels.

Ties - mostly Brooks Brothers.  They match all his suits.

Shirts - Brooks Brothers or Aquascutum.

Shoes - Cole Haan - Johnstone and Murphy

I love aquascutum - their dress shirts are wonderful!

My bf has fallen in love with Theory pants.  He recently bought a pair on Bluefly for $120!!  I would also look into a nice cashmere sweater and some great jeans for the weekend or if his office has an event that he needs to wear a sharp pair of jeans too.  HTH!!

my bf is really casual (he's a welder so he never dresses for work) but lately he has been getting into more dressier clothing when he plays with his band. He really likes Mexx for dress shirts, pants and jackets. He is into a kind of hiphop style so he wears really baggy jeans by Ecko, Groggy warm up jackets and white Adidas runners.
