Random Question-what stores have a Santaland?
Permalink Closed

So...when I was little, the Shillito's (now Macy's) had a downtown Cincinnati flagship store and every Christmas they would have the coolest "Santaland" display on the 6th floor.  You would walk through this maze and then at the end of it there was Santa and also a cute bakery where you could buy Christmas cookies and also the cutest little store with a little door (kid-sized) where kids could go in and buy gifts for their parents, etc.

Of course, they tore down that cool old store years ago and replaced it with a bland old Macy's.  I sooo miss the charm of that place and am wondering-are there any Santaland's left anymore????  I would love to take my kids to something like this.  I do know that I went to something very similiar in Minneapolis (was it Dayton/Hudson's downtown maybe?)???  But what other cities still have this?  NYC?  Chicago?

TIA!!!!

Yes, I have a Lazzie Bear too!  In fact, I have a picture of my 3 best friends, along with myself, sitting on Fountain Square and all of us were holding Lazzie bears.  We went downtown for the day and had so much fun!  We were about 17, so that was about 17 years ago (oh my I'm getting old!!!)...I'm so glad you know what I'm talking about!  So, you are near NYC now right?  Do any of the stores in NYC still have something like this?  Macy's maybe?
