Chicago Girls: Best Place to Have a Party?
Permalink Closed

Hi ladies!

So my birthday and my boyfriend's birthday are coming up in the next month and we want to have a joint birthday party for about 20 of our friends. We're both new to Chicago and we're trying to figure out (1) a fun, lively restaurant with GOOD food and (2) a lounge we could go to afterwards with great music and atmosphere. Any ideas for either a restaurant or a lounge? We're so excited for our first birthdays in our new city!

Let me start off by saying I absolutely hate places that are pretentious and the people that work there act like they are better than everyone else.  That being said...

Bravo on Division and Damen is awesome and they have a killer lounge in the downstairs.  It can be a little on the pricey side though.  I had my birthday party at Tryst on Clark in WVille.  They are super awesome there...it is like this hidden gem of ultra loungey cool smack dab in the middle of a bar scene (which is also a plus because there are plenty of options to go to if you want to go somewhere later and not pay for a cab to go all over town).  I don't think they do food, but Moxie is about two doors down (tapas) and they are really good.  If I think of anything else I will let you know!!
