what color speedy?

So I decided that I'm treating myself to an epi speedy 30 and I can't decide what color to get.

I really like the black, but my coat in brown, so I'm not sure if it will look ok. The red would go, but is it as classic as the black? I love them both, so I really can't decide. Which do you think would be better?

a red epi speedy would be the hotness!  i think the red is equally classic as the black. plus it's relatively easier to come by nice black bags than red ones.

I just went to the LV store yesterday to look at their Epi leather bags, and honestly, I wasn't in love with the red, which is what I really wanted.  It's more of a tomato red--not a cherry red.


This may be a bit off the wall, but what about the mandarin orange color?  It's beautiful in real life and would look really pretty with browns.

hmmm.... do the other colors ever show up on eluxury? I wanted to get it from there to save on tax and get 3% cash back. I wish I could go look at the red irl now, but the closest store is a few hours away.

It's a much softer, mellow looking orange IRL, if that makes any sense.  I thought it was absolutely gorgeous.

oooh...I was just looking at pictures of the mandarin on purseforum and those are gorgeous too. This is gonna be tough.

What did you think of the size? I thought I wanted a 30 (when I was going to get the mono) but it looks like the epi ones are a little bigger. Is the 30 huge? I can't seem to find any pics of people actually carrying the epi ones.

I didn't look at the Speedies yesterday, so I don't know about the size or if there's a difference. 


Eluxury says that the Speedy 30 in the monogram is 12" L x 8" H x 6.5" W and the Epi leather Speedy is also 12" x 8".

has anyone else seen the red irl? I think I'm leaning toward that one, as long as the color is nice...
the mandarin is really pretty, but I don't think its as classic and this will be my first lv.

The red is definitely a tomato red, but I think it makes such a wonderful statement color. I think the red is definitely a classic choice. Honestly, I don't think any of the epi leather colors are trendy...they're all classically unique.

Red for sure! I'm not normally a fan of tomato-y reds, but I've seen it IRL and I really like it. I think it's more classic than the orange, too, if classic is a priority.

Thanks gals. I'm going to go with the red. I've liked that one for longest anyway.

I'l post pics when I get it, but it might not be for a while. I'm probably going to either order it when I get home in November, or order it so it arrives when I get home. This will definately give me something to look forward to- hopefully it'll make this last month easier!!

Yes, go with the red!  I would like it better if it were more blue-based, but it is awesome all the same.
